Rooster Wheelchair Tennis Team is a group of family, friends, sponsors, and volunteers supporting wheelchair tennis partners Chris Thomas and Trey Bates to fulfill their aspirations of playing competitive wheelchair tennis at the highest level.
We aim to inspire each other to be the best players we can be through a process of hard work, craft, and support.

Chirs Thomas
Chris Thomas is a below-the-knee amputee, and a native
of Raleigh, North Carolina. He is married, the father of six, and
medically retired from the United States Marine Corps. Chris spent over a decade as an educator in North Carolina.
The Veteran Affairs Recreation Therapy introduced Chris to different sports platforms as a form of therapy.
He has now become passionate about wheelchair tennis.
Chris has competed with success in the
Valor Games, Bridge2Sports, and the National Veteran Wheelchair Games

Trey Bates
Trey is a T-12 Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury survivor and a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is married and the father of two beautiful canines. Trey has spent 20 years in the Embroidery and Imprint Industry and is an associate of the Peter Millar - GFORE brands.
Good Samaritans Hospital Physical Therapy in Portland Oregon introduced Trey to Wheelchair Basketball. Tennis has now consumed Trey's competitive passion.
Trey is a National Wheelchair Basketball Champion as a member of the 2014 North Carolina Tarwheels.
